Suspending Overhead Piping with Minimal Clearance
When pipes run overhead, they must be supported from the ceiling structure. This hanger bracket does that with a low-profile design that minimizes the distance between the pipe and the ceiling, preserving overhead clearance-critical in facilities with limited space. The bracket uses a threaded rod connection to the ceiling and a cradle or clamp to hold the pipe.
Clamp or Cradle Options
The hanger is available in two configurations: a cradle for situations where the pipe simply needs to rest on the support, and a clamp for situations where the pipe must be held firmly to prevent movement. The clamp version uses a U-bolt or split-ring design, depending on the pipe diameter and the required holding force.
Vibration Damping in Ceiling Mounts
For overhead lines carrying fluids at high velocity, vibration transmitted through the hanger can generate noise in the structure above. The hanger can be fitted with a rubber bushing that isolates the pipe from the bracket, reducing noise transmission. This is particularly important in occupied spaces.
