Automated spraying systems typically consist of a centralized paint supply system, a paint delivery and conditioning system, spraying machines, spray guns, and spraying robots. The spraying robot serves as the core component, comprising the robot unit itself, a computer, and a corresponding control system; it generally includes the robot arm, robot controller, system operation console, process control cabinet, vehicle model detection system, vehicle body tracking system, and power distribution cabinet.

Auxiliary equipment, such as automatic tool changing systems and door-opening manipulators, enhances spraying efficiency and enables interior coating as well as switching between different coating types. High-pressure airless spraying machines can boost pressure approximately thirty-fold, mitigating the impact of paint delivery line length and quantity, while centralized paint supply pumps utilize pneumatic or hydraulic power to reduce energy consumption. The control cabinet system acts as the master control center, integrating functions such as high-pressure control, paint output regulation, lift speed control, air pressure regulation, and spray gun cleaning and on/off control.

Intelligent systems, such as vision systems and trajectory planning technology, are employed for automated spraying. For complex components like automotive bodies, manual touch-up spraying is still required following the automated spraying process.
